Step 1
The Right and Wrong Way For Applying Makeup: Tips For Teens
The Right Way:
*Always clean your makeup brushes and applicator tools to prevent germs, bacteria, and oils.
*Applying makeup should be simple, light and natural.
*Always wash face before applying makeup.
*Choose pencil eyeliner for a more natural look than liquid eyeliner.
*Enhance your facial look by using brown/black mascara. Using a super, dark black mascara can be too harsh and unflattering for your face.
*Apply your blushes on your cheekbone toward your hairline and blend.
*For supple, soft lips, apply Vaseline to lips and brush with a toothbrush to rid of dead skin on lips.
*Use lip-gloss for beautiful, luscious lips. For super shiny lips, put lip-gloss over your regular lipstick. -
Step 2
Choosing a foundation should blended perfectly with your skin tone. To check color differences on your face, apply a small amount of foundation to your jaw line to compare the color to your neck and face.

Step 3
The Wrong Way:
*When choosing a foundation, make sure it is oil-free. Foundations that are very creamy can cause blemishes and pimples.
*Keep your look natural; don't pluck your eyebrows way too thin; plucking eyebrows too thin can make your eyes look smaller.
*Always use natural, and neutral colors for a better look.
*Don't over apply foundation during summer; it will cake up and melt off on your face due to heat. Not a very flattering look.
