Step 1
Choose the right program. There are a variety of weight loss camps that have different weight loss programs. Make sure that the program you choose is something your child is able to achieve. Some might use low fat diets, others might use hypnosis to lose weight, and some may use low carbohydrate diets or herbal weight loss. Whatever the choice, be sure your child understands the diet plan.
-
Step 2
Investigate the history of the weight loss camps. Be sure to check with the better business bureau so that you are aware of any complaints the weight loss programs have received. Discuss any complaint openly with admissions and administration. Be sure that the camp uses healthy diet plans that will reduce body fat without causing any undue body stress.
-
Step 3
Take a tour of the camps. Check out the menu and the facilities the weight loss camps have for the kids. Ask to see the medical facilities and ask about the procedures that are in place for any emergencies that might arise. Find out how many camp counselors are on staff at all times in the weight loss programs and how many are trained in CPR and other emergency management procedures. Ask about the closest hospital and how emergencies are handled.
-
Step 4
Ask what weight loss for kids fitness programs are implemented during camp and what motivational methods they use. In addition, find out if there are any disciplinary methods used for discipline issues that might arise. Discuss any safety issues that might be associated with the activities in the weight loss camps. Find out if the camp helps teach your child how to lose weight healthily, or just shows them a fast way to lose weight.

Step 5
Go online and find a camp near you or a relative who you can trust. If the camp is close to you, it will be much easier for you to stop in and make sure your child is losing weight healthily and being taken care of in the weight loss camp you have chosen. They might also need your support to help in their weight loss efforts.
