How to Grill BBQ Pork Chops
If your grilling consists mainly of hamburgers and hot dogs, and you are looking for a new dish to grill, BBQ pork chops are an easy choice for branching out. You can use your favorite store-bought barbecue sauce to make this recipe even quicker and simpler, or you can make your own homemade barbecue sauce. Because grilling the pork chops is not difficult, you may want to get creative with sauce flavors, adding unexpected ingredients to your traditional barbecue sauce such as orange or pineapple. Things You'll Need
- 2 cups jelly, such as apple, apricot, or orange
- 1 cup ketchup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. chili powder
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon
- 4 pork loin chops, 1 inch thick
- Salt
- Pepper
- Pastry brush
- Baster
- Grilling tongs

Make the BBQ sauce by combining the jelly, ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt, vinegar and chili powder in a microwave-safe mixing bowl. Stir the ingredients until they are combined well.

Warm the sauce in the microwave on high power for two minutes. Stir the mixture. Heat the mixture for two more minutes. Set the sauce aside.

Light the grill. Sprinkle the pork chops with a generous pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper on both sides of each chop.

Dip the pastry brush into the BBQ sauce, and brush sauce on both sides of each pork chop.

Place the pork chops on the heated grill. Grill the pork chops for roughly seven to 15 minutes on each side, basting the chops with the sauce one every two or three minutes. The pork chops are done when the center is just slightly pink.
