Things You'll Need:
- Frosting/icing
- Cake topper or figurine
- Edible flowers or butterflies
- Fairy accessories
- Sparkler candles
- Cake decorating kit
-
Step 1
Determine the flavor and color of the cake. The frosting of the cake can be white, pink or lavender and pale green to go along with the Tinker Bell theme. Always make or buy more icing than you think you need. Having extra icing to cover up mistakes or to smooth out the surface of the cake always comes in handy.
-
Step 2
Choose a Tinker Bell cake topper. These can be found at most party supply stores. If a cake topper can't be found, use a Tinker Bell figurine from a toy store. Make sure the figurine is light enough to sit atop the cake and doesn't have any small removable parts.
-
Step 3
Accessorize your Tinker Bell cake. Garland with stars, sprinkles in the color theme of your choice, edible flowers, butterfly candies and fairy decorations are the perfect addition.
-
Step 4
Place small fairy or butterfly figurines at the base of the cake for added excitement and to give away as party favors. Use sparkler candles to give the Tinker Bell cake extra sparkle. This adds excitement to the cake and makes the experience more magical.
-
Step 5
Buy a Tinker Bell cake decorating kit. These can be found at party supply stores, specialty bake shops or on a cake decorating supply website such as www.ShopBakersNook.com. Cake decorating kits may include a recipe for the cake, packages of royal icing, and decorative flowers or figurines.
