      Set the water setting on the machine on hot. If there is a setting for heavily soiled clothes, set the washing machine on that setting. Fill the tub with water. Add three cups of white distilled vinegar and one-half cup of baking soda.

      Move the setting to the spin cycle when the tub begins to drain. Allow the tub to drain completely. Set the water setting on the machine on cold. Now, run another cycle.

      Remove the washing machine dispensers. Take this step only if they are removable and soak them in hot soapy water. Scrub any deposits from them. If your dispensers are not removable run hot water through them several times to remove as much dirt as possible.
