Things You'll Need:
- Needle nose pliers
- Screwdriver
- Small pick (optional)
-
Step 1
Open the hood to the S10.
-
Step 2
Locate and remove the driver's side washer hose retaining clip from the underside of the S10 hood. It is located at the very bottom of the hood below the hood insulation shield and is more accessible from the driver's side of the S10. Carefully use a screwdriver to unfasten the hose from the clip or to remove the clip from the square hole in the hood by prying it off.
-
Step 3
Locate and remove the passenger side washer hose retaining clip in the same fashion. It is located more in the center of the bottom of the hood.
-
Step 4
Return to the driver's side and locate the nozzle retaining clip (about 6-7 inches to the left of the hose clip) and press inward on the top of the clip to release the nozzle from the square hole in the hood. Repeat this procedure for the passenger side nozzle.
-
Step 5
Use the needle nose pliers to gently extract the washer hose from the T adapter (both sides) from the driver's side nozzle then again to extract the top of the T adapter from the nozzle itself. Remove the nozzle.
-
Step 6
Remove the washer hose from the nozzle elbow on the passenger side with the pliers, then remove the nozzle from the elbow.
-
Step 7
Unclog the nozzles with compressed air if desire by blowing backward through the top of the nozzle or replace the nozzle with new ones.
