Instructions

    • 1

Search for hotels using an Internet hotel search site that lists the names of all hotels in a specified area. Use websites such as Hotels.com, Travelocity and Expedia.

    • 2

Type "Universal Studios, CA" or "Universal City, CA" into the destination space in the hotel search area. If the site does not have listings under Universal Studios, type in "Universal City, CA as an alternative search. Select your reservation dates and the number of adults and children staying in the room. Click "Search" when finished.
If you are searching on a site that also searches for airline tickets or car rentals, make sure you specify that you want to search for hotel only.

Look at the list of hotels that appears on the new page. The hotels are arranged from closest to furthest away from Universal Studios or by the site's recommended hotels near Universal Studios. Narrow down the results by price range and star and guest rating by selecting one of those options listed above the hotels on the results page. You may see a drop-down menu next to "Sort By," which affects how the hotels are displayed. On all three hotels search sites listed in Step 1, various sort options are available, including by price and star rating.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are not staying within walking distance to Universal Studios, you can take the metro's Red Line to the Universal City stop. This is easier than renting and parking a car at the theme park.
