Instructions

  1. Four Rules to Know Before Firing the Beretta

    • 1

Always treat your Beretta as if it loaded, even if you know for a fact that it is not.

    • 2

Keep your finger off the trigger until you are about to fire.

    • 3

Know your target and what is beyond your target.

    • 4

Never aim your Beretta at anything you are not willing to destroy.

    Firing the Beretta 9mm Pistol

    • 5
      Location of safety lever

Place the weapon on safe. (See picture 1 to see the safety lever.) The safety lever is located on the back of the slide. This can be done by rotating the lever down until it covers the red dot.

    • 6
      Location of magazine well

Insert a loaded magazine into the pistol. The magazine well (the place where the magazine is loaded) is located in the grip of the Beretta. (see picture 2 for location of magazine well)

    • 7
      Locaton of the slide

Pull the slide back to chamber a round. Be sure to keep the pistol pointed in a safe direction once a round is in the chamber (see picture 3 for location of the slide).

    • 8

      Take aim at your target.

    • 9

Disengage the safety. This can be done by rotating the safety lever to the upward position, revealing the red dot.

    • 10

Place the tip of your finger on the trigger when you are ready to fire.

    • 11

Squeeze the trigger, don't pull it. Pulling the trigger will tend to cause the pistol to turn slightly. Squeezing the trigger reduces the chances of this occurring.

    • 12
      Location of magazine release button

Turn the safety back on when you are done firing. Clear the pistol of all remaining ammo by ejecting the magazine and pulling the slide back to eject the round in the chamber (see picture 4 for location of magazine release button).

Tips & Warnings

  • Always read the manual whenever you purchase any firearm.

  • It is always recommended that you wear eye and hearing protection when firing any firearms. A firearm is not a toy and should never be "played with." Never point it at anyone, even if it is unloaded.
