Things You'll Need:
- 1 small can abalone or clams
- 1 lb hard salami
- 1 lb cheese (1/2 lb cheddar and 1/2 lb swiss cheese)
- 1 large red onion, chopped fine
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1 small can diced jalapeno peppers
- 1 small can/jar marinated artichoke hearts dices
- 1/2 lb sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup italian peppers
-
Step 1
Chop all ingredients using any juices included in cans or packaging. When chopping clams/abalone, make sure to take the extra time to chop as fine as possible...these seafood items have a texture that will be unappealing if left in large pieces.
-
Step 2
Mix all ingredients thoroughly
-
Step 3
If not enough liquid or more is desired, add italian salad dressing as needed
-
Step 4
Serve with wheat thins type crackers or crusty italian bread

on 8/5/2009 Yes, the combination of clams or abalone and salami seems unusual. But, I will try your Hot River Dip. Thanks for the idea. *****
