How to Use Social Marker

Are you using social bookmarking? Social Marker makes it really easy to submit your site to 51 of the best social bookmarking sites in just minutes.

Instructions

1. 
   Drop the Social Marker Icon on your Toolbar

   Go to socialmarker.com. On the left hand side under "How to Use It" there's a little icon - drag that and drop it onto your toolbar.

2. Go to the article that you want to bookmark. Click on the icon that you just dropped onto your toolbar. This should open up Social Marker with your article's information in it.

   Choose your Social Bookmarking sites.

   Select the social bookmarking sites that you want to submit your article to. If you don't have accounts with any or all of these sites, I recommend taking it slow! Join 1 or 2 new sites each time you submit a new article and you won't be overwhelmed by the process. Trying to join them all at once would be extremely time consuming.

4. 
   Put your info into Social Marker.

   Fill in the bookmark details at the top of the page. Make sure you like how the title is showing. Add a catchy description and the appropriate tags (key words). Hit "submit" which is right above the bookmark details box.

   Everything you need is at the bottom of the page.

   Look at the bottom of the screen - Social Marker has put the bookmark details there for you to drag and drop in the appropriate fields at each bookmarking site. Sometimes the information will flow through to the bookmarking site but other times only part of it will flow or none of it will flow through. Drag and drop the information where appropriate at each bookmarked site. Hit "next" at the top of the page when you're done with 1 site and ready to move onto the next. Continue this until you've submitted the article to all the sites that you selected (it will tell you what number site you are on). You can close the window when you've finished.

Tips & Warnings

• Try to bookmark other people's articles too. This gives your social bookmarks more credibility.
• Join the eHow Social Bookmarking group! This will help get more votes for your articles at each site, which leads to more outside views.
• If you only bookmark your own articles it could backfire. Search engines will view you as not contributing to the community and only submitting for personal gain.
