Make a Sea Shell Floral Centerpiece

This is a great floral centerpiece that you can make for tables at your beach wedding reception, my friend made these for her wedding which had an ocean theme as she and her husband are surfers. Perfect elegant decor for your beach wedding and summer entertaining.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Conch Shells
  • Floral Foam
  • Flowers (hydrangeas)
  1. Step 1

Soak the green floral foam in water. Once it it soaked through, use a serrated knife and cut into 1 inch strips (to make it easier to stuff into the shell).

  2. Step 2

Stuff the green foam inside the conch shell as much as you can. Don't put in too much so that it's coming out of the shell. Tuck it in nice and tightly into that crevice.

  3. Step 3

Insert flowers and greenery of choice into the green foam. My friend used Hydrangeas as the main flower and it was beautiful.

  4. Step 4

Place on the center of tables or on side buffet tables to add elegant oceanic charm to your next gathering. If desired, you can place other small shells or colored sea glass around the seashell centerpiece.

Tips & Warnings
  • These make great favors as you can encourage guests to take the shell centerpieces as a momento at the end of the party.
  • Perfect centerpiece for a beach wedding or seaside wedding reception.
