Installing your own Brick Chimney is simple using this new "Brick Chimney in a Box". I'll tell you how to easily build & install a new chimney or replace your old rusting or rotting chimney chase. Also how to cover your old smoke stack to make it look like a Real Brick Chimney. Enhance your homes curb appeal!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tape Measure
  • Caulking Gun
  • Socket Wrench
  • 1/2 in. Socket
  • 1/4 in. Nut Runner
  • Tin Snips
  • Chimney-in-a-Box
  1. Step 1

    To add a beautiful Brick Earth Quake Proof Chimney to your home in just one day first measure your flue pipe or old rusting or rotting chimney chase and determine the roof pitch of your home. Standard chimney chase is 2x2x3 feet high.

    Think... "Out of the Box"

    Open "Chimney in a Box"... carefully remove all "No Rust" Panels & support structure. Lay out brick panels per number 1 thru 4. Simply glue & screw brick construction panels to aluminum framework included. Place glued & screwed brick chimney assembly upright. Position aluminum lid over chimney. Allow chimney to dry for 24 hours. For best results, wrap while drying, with nylon straps or shrink wrap.

    After drying - Place chimney on it's side... Lay-out roof pitch cut
    per easy instructions included in chimney kit. Use skill saw with carbide tip blade to cut roof pitch. Saw will easily cut through this durable brick & aluminum. Repeat cut on opposite side and across back. "Do Not cut front panel". After roof pitch is cut - Install "Rear Flange" with glue & screws included in kit. With tin snips, hand cut opening in chimney lid to accommodate your flue pipe.

    * Carry your finished 27lb. brick chimney, after you pre-cut lid & roof pitch, up on your roof... Remove "spark arrestor" from your flue pipe. Place your assembled brick chimney over your flue pipe, then center it by placing aluminum lid on chimney. Mark location for roof attachment, then remove lid.
    Using water tight sealer, screw rear flange & front flange to roof with lag screws included in kit. Place lid back over flue pipe, secure by gluing lid to chimney. Replace your original chimney cap/spark arrestor. Climb down and admire your "Do it yourself Brick Chimney"

Tips & Warnings
  • Caution your roof pitch may vary with home construction.
  • Measure twice, cut once.
  • Most "Chimney-in-a-Box" installations may not need "Flashed". If in doubt, check with installation professional.
  • Be sure to use required safety equipment and handle tools with care.
