be a GGG Sexual Partner

The term GGG stands for "good, giving, and game." It was coined by Dan Savage in his column Savage Love and is intended to be used as a guideline for good behavior as a sexual partner.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be good in bed. This means asking your partner what he or she wants and paying attention to your partner's desires. It is especially important to actually listen to your partner's feedback and to try not to be offended by whatever he or she says.

  2. Step 2

Strive to always be "giving equal time and equal pleasure." You should always reciprocate sexual favors, or at least sincerely offer reciprocation. Don't be stingy. If your partner performs your favorite position, do the same in return. If your partner isn't interested in being repaid sexually, offer to give a back massage, make dinner, or something similarly relaxing.

  3. Step 3

Last but definitely not least, you should be "game for anything--within reason." This means indulging your partner's kinks and accepting your partner's fantasies. You should be willing to give most things a try even if they don't personally turn you on, unless they are dangerous or you have strong personal reasons for not being able to comply.

Tips & Warnings
  • Read Dan Savage's column for more sex advice and to learn more about being GGG.
  • NEVER do anything without both partners' consent.
