How to File For Kentucky Unemployment Benefits
If you live in the beautiful Bluegrass State, more familiarly known as Kentucky, and have recently lost your job, you may be entitled to unemployment benefits. Filing an unemployment claim can be accomplished through the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training. There are two ways of submitting your claim: through the Internet, or by telephone. As of the publication date, you can collect $39 to $415 every week on unemployment.

Access the Office of Employment and Training website. The link is in the References section.

According to the website, you will need the following information in order to file a claim:
- your Social Security number
- your mailing address
- contact information (name, address and phone number) for all of your employers in the last 18 months
- the specific start and end dates for each of those jobs
- your Alien Registration number if not a U.S. citizen -

Register at the link at the bottom of the Unemployment Insurance Claim Filing page, and you will be given a 4-digit PIN number so you can log back in to the KEWES eBenefit system to manage your application. Write down that PIN number.

Your application for Kentucky unemployment benefits must be completed before midnight Saturday of that week or else your application will be deleted. Make sure all questions are completely filled in.

Tips & Warnings
The online claims system is accessible Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
When filling out the unemployment application, be truthful. You can be guilty of a felony if you purposefully falsify the form or fail to disclose pertinent information.
