College text books can be super expensive, especially if you buy them new. Here are a few ways to save money on your books for school.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

See if you can exchange your old books from you previous terms. Ask your friends and other students if they have books that you might need that they aren't using anymore. Exchange for books you may have, or for favors, like typing term papers.

  2. Step 2

Check online. There are many sites online where you can buy good used text books. Ebay is one place I've seen selling schoolbooks for relatively cheap prices. If you can, look in the off season, like at the beginning of summer, when there is less competition and lower prices.

  3. Step 3

Look at your schools bulletin boards, other students often have used books for sale from previous terms. Check thrift stores and other used goods stores. You never know what you might find.
