How to Write Funny Fortunes, Messages and Sayings for Fortune Cookies
Fortune cookies usually come stocked with their own sayings, but you can improve on the mass-produced messages. To think of funny fortune cookie fortunes, keep in mind who you are preparing the messages and sayings for. If the fortunes are intended to be read by your friends, think about what their hopes -- and fears -- are, and use those details to create fortunes. If the fortunes will be read at a party such as a wedding or baby shower, gear the sayings towards those upcoming events.

If you are serving fortune cookies in the middle of a party, write fortunes that "foresee" events that will happen during the rest of the party.
