Navigate to publicproxyservers.com, the premier database for free proxy servers, to see the whole list. The site also provides a brief explanation of the nature of proxy servers and the types available.

Go to "Proxy List" and click the hyperlink. For a more specific search, click on any of the hyperlinks below it, such as "sorted by rating" or "sorted by country."

Publicproxyservers.com lists each proxy's data, such as ranking and location, so you can make an educated choice. Consider the server's up-time percent (how long it is constantly running), and whether it Is marked "SSL," meaning Secure Sockets Layer, which provides added privacy and protection. After selecting a proxy server you will see a box where you can input a web address.

Type the address of the website you want to access in the input box. Check-mark the options you want.

Browse through the blocked website to ensure that the proxy server is working. If you are able to surf past the restricted page, you have successfully gotten around a website block.
