How to Get Rid of the Blackworm Virus

The Blackworm virus is one of the more severe types of computer viruses. It is important to get rid of this virus as quickly as possible so that it cannot damage your computer. Once rather difficult to get remove, computer viruses have become so common that it does not take a background in computers to rid yourself of any unwanted or harmful viruses.

Instructions

1. Shut down your computer and restart it in "Safe Mode." This prevents the virus from doing any more damage while you attempt to remove it. To do this, simply press "F8" from the beginning load-up screen when you first turn on your computer.

2. Click Start > Search.

3. Select "All Files or Folders" from the list of options on the left of the Search window. This opens a section of search parameters on the left of the screen. In the window that says "All or Part of the File Name," type "Blackworm," and then click "Search."

4. Right-click on all the files listed in the main body of the window and select "Delete."

5. Restart your computer regularly and the virus should be gone. Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 to make sure that no "Blackworm" files are still present on your computer.
