How to Remove Sticker Residue From Plastic
Whether it's from price tags or stickers, sticky residue often ends up on plastic. Besides being unsightly and making the object look unclean, your plastic item will now stick to things. There are several easy ways to remove sticker adhesive from plastic. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- WD-40
- Soft, clean cloth
- Dish soap
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Cotton ball
- Vinegar
- Cooking oil

Spray the plastic with WD-40 and allow it to sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Wipe the adhesive away with a cloth that is soft, clean and dry.

Soak the plastic item in warm, soapy water for at least 10 minutes. Use a soft clean cloth or sponge to to scrub away the residue.

Dip a soft, clean cloth in isopropyl alcohol and wipe away the residue with it.

Place a cotton ball or soft, clean cloth in vinegar and dab it on the residue. Leave it there for at least 10 minutes and wipe the area clean with a soft, clean cloth.

Apply cooking oil on a soft, clean cloth or cotton ball to the area and allow it to soak for 5 minutes. Wash the area clean with warm soapy water.
