Step 1
First get online and make a group, it can be in facebook.com or meetup.com or any other social networking group. Title it the Cheap & Cheerful Summer Club and invite your friends.

Set the settings to allow others to invite their friends too; the more the merrier is the fun of the group.

Once you’ve established your club, start to do some research on the net into free and cheap events that are occurring in your area this summer. With the warm weather there are bound to be some very interesting events you may never otherwise have thought to attend.

Encourage others to add their own events and use your online noticeboard to make arrangements so everyone knows when the events are and who will be going.

Take it a step further and find out about volunteering at these free events. I’m sure they’ll be glad of the additional support.

For the nights you don’t wish to go out, have get togethers such as barbecues and games nights at one another’s houses each person contributing what they can.
