How to Make a Triple Chocolate Milkshake

If you love chocolate, ice cream, and chocolate ice cream, this frosty treat is the perfect for movie nights, slumber parties or as a finishing touch to your summer barbecue.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 pint Dutch chocolate ice cream
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 pint milk
  1. Step 1

    In a bowl, combine milk and syrup and wisk or stir vigorously until combined.

  2. Step 2

    Scoop ice cream into the blender. Pour milk over the ice cream.

  3. Step 3

    Mix the ice cream and milk by first using the blender's pulse setting and pulse it a few times. if your blender does not have a pulse setting use a wooden spoon to mix the ingredients enough to be "blend-able"

  4. Step 4

    Use the highest setting on the blender to blend until shake reaches a smooth, even consistency. If you have any trouble start with a lower setting or stir some more.

  5. Step 5

    Pour in to a set of glasses and serve with a straw and a long spoon.

  6. Step 6

    Add whipped cream and chocolate shavings for an elegant touch and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • Two of the three chocolates come from the Dutch Chocolate ice cream which is a mix of dark and milk chocolates.
  • Instead of milk and syrup you can use chocolate milk to get a similar flavor.
  • Use skim or 1% milk for a lower calorie shake.
