Have you ever thought of renting items around your home or business to people who may just need them and don't want to go out and purchase an item? Now you can and it is simple and easy to do with a simple online posting.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your Computer
  • List of items you may want to rent
  • Agreement to have with people who rent stuff
  1. Step 1
    Rent Your Tools for Cash!

Like everyone else times are tough and when tough times come, people want to use things and not purchase them. They turn to rental stores, but sometimes it costs 40-60% of the items purchase value to rent it. As a private person, you can rent your items for a lot less, instead of them sitting in your basement or in the shed and solve someone elses problem and make yourself some extra cash. You can list these items on a specialty website that I created called Free4Pay, you post for free and get paid to rent your items.

  2. Step 2

Next is what should you rent? There are hundreds of things but here are a few suggestions: Tables and chairs for parties or events, tools, vehicles, RV's, cameras and video recorders, game systems, games, movies, cd's, costumes, clothing or anything you have around your home that someone would want to rent. Your fee should be nominal and the customer should meet you to get it at a safe location. You can also accept credit cards if you have a Paypal Account too!

  3. Step 3
Rent Tents, Tables and Chairs for Cash

You may want to have some sort of agreement for expensive items and the item should be given a replacement cost value when you rent it so that someone knows the value of the item in case it is lost, stolen or damaged while it is in their possession. For these items I suggest a simple written agreement that both parties sign and agree upon.

  4. Step 4

You can start posting on the site right away. If your state is not listed just send us an email and we will add it to the list. We appreciate your help in getting this site off the ground.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make the fee nominal, such as rent a nice camera for $35 for a day or $50 for a weekend, or a Wii Game for the same.
  • Use safe locations to meet, if you feel okay with someone coming to your home then fine, but use a public place to meet others.
  • Get paid up front and ask them to bring a copy of their drivers license and the original so you can be sure who you are dealing with
  • Agree when it will be returned and for expensive items make a written agreement that both parties sign. You may want to have a security deposit that will be returned upon your item being returned in the condition it left.
  • Watch out for scammers. For some reason these people are ery smart and could make a lot of money earning an honest living, but it seems they just love the game. Don't accept bank checks or money orders, cash is the best for a transaction like this, or use a payment gateway like Paypal.
