If you are looking for the perfect Handprint Hanukkah Craft, try this one! This makes a great Hanukkah gift if you put a beautiful frame around it!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blue paint
  • Yellow paint
  • 2 Paintbrushes
  • Your hand
  1. Step 1

Paint your child's right hand blue. Press it down on the right side of the paper, with the fingers spread out and upright like the candles on a menorah. Keep the thumb sideways.

  2. Step 2

Paint your child's left hand blue. Press it down on the left side of the paper, with the fingers spread out and upright like the candles on a menorah. The thumb should be pressed directly over the thumb from the right hand to look like the "helper candle".

  3. Step 3

Wash your child's hands and dry them thoroughly. Have your child dip his/her pointer finger in the yellow paint and dot the top of each candle to look like the flame of the candle.

  4. Step 4

Write the word "Happy" above the menorah and the word "Hanukkah" below the menorah.

  5. Step 5

Cut out or buy a nice frame for your Handprint Hanukkah craft and give it to a loved one for Hanukkah!

on 6/13/2009 Great idea, would be a much better article if you had some photos to show each step. Have someone with a digital camera help you out with this, shouldn't be hard to do and I am sure your readership will go way up.
