Things You'll Need:
- Mattress
- Protector
-
Step 1
This is for anyone whether you have dust mite allergies or not. I have been researching this problem with mattresses for years now. They say your mattress will double in weight in 10 years if you do not protect your bed. This is due to dust mites and the fecal matter left behind by them.
-
Step 2
The best thing I have found to date is a protectall mattress protector sold at Slumberland Furniture. This keeps 99% of dust mites from getting into your mattress and blocks 99% that are in your mattress from getting to you. This does all that while still being breathable.
-
Step 3
Once you purchase a protector that stops dust mites from getting into your bed you need to attach it like a fitted sheet. You place it on teri cloth side up. Now add you fresh washed sheets to the bed and you are ready to start sleeping healthier.
-
Step 4
Next, you need to be sure to wash your protecter every week to 2 weeks in a wash machine with your sheets.
-
Step 5
Now you are blocking your dust mites from getting to their food source you... so they will die out in a matter of a few weeks. Keep using your protector properly and you should feel much better when you wake up in the morning.
