Step 1
To clean a leather sofa, place a small amount of moisturizing soap (I prefer dove) and work it into a lather on the leather. Make sure to not get the leather too wet or you won't do any cleaning.
-
Step 2
Using a different damp cloth, wipe off the lather that you created with the soap. Polish the leather sofa with a dry towel and treat with a leather conditioner.
-
Step 3
If gum is stuck on your leather sofa, you can freeze the gum to make it hard. To do this, place is in a small, zip lock bag and place it on top of the gum. This will make the gum cold and harden. You should then be able to easily pull the gum off. If any gum residue is left, do the opposite. Heat the gum with a hair dryer and use a dry cloth to wipe the gum off.
-
Step 4
If you aren't sure what type of leather sofa you have, I would recommend buying a universal leather cleaning solution. These can usually be found online or in stores.
