      Dress the Part

DRESS THE PART - One of the most important Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt Idea I have come across is dressing the part. Other people should know you are a Bachelorette Party JUST by looking at you. Consider matching shirts, wild accessories, etc. Every member should have have something unique to the Bachelorette Party, this will make them feel more a part of the experience and more likely to do adventurous and wild things during the Scavenger Hunt.

      * During my Bachelorette Party my honorary "Maid of Honor" bought shirts for all the girls and started off the night with a shirt decorating party. She provided sequens, puff paint, ribbon and iron-on logos for the girls. Each girl received a number of Mardi Gras necklaces for accessories. The ongoing and official contest throughout the Scavenger Hunt was to get the most men to sign their name and number on your shirt. Not only did this get competitive, but it forced members to get in the spirit. It also provided a take home shirt which will always have great memories of the Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt.

*Make sure that the Bride-to-Be stands out from the crowd. Consider using a veil, wig or different dress color to achieve this effect. As others should know that you are a Bachelorette party by looking at you, they should also know who the Bride-to-Be is.

      Location!!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - The location of the Scavenger Hunt can make or break the Bachelorette Party. You need to choose a place with lots of men, and preferably men who are drinking lightly and men in your age group! The best place to do this would be a street lined with clubs/bars. This way you are not confined to a specific area (or specific group of people). Do your research for your area for the best possible Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt!

*We ran into 4-5 Bachelor parties during my Bachelorette Party and they were extremely fun and helped us immensely with the Scavenger Hunt. One of the groups was doing a Scavenger Hunt for their party as well and we traded goals.

      Capturing Memories

TAKE PICTURES - There is no reason to have a Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt without a camera/video camera element. One of the best Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt ideas I have come across is to make it a photo/video Scavenger hunt. This increases the amount of things a group can do and insures that the adventure will be captured forever! Make sure each team has a video camera or camera, a limited amount of time and you will be able to share adventures afterwards. You will find each teammate will be excited to share their unique experience with the rest of the group. Consider turning the pictures into a Scrapbook for the Bride afterwards.

      Fun Tasks

CHOOSE YOUR SCAVENGER HUNT LIST WISELY - See resources below for Scavenger Hunt Lists full of tasks. Choose tasks appropriate for your group. The most important thing is the Bride-to-be!! If she is extremely conservative, you will not want to do anything to make her feel offended or too uncomfortable - you will want to choose things which are adventurous and sexy for HER. If the Bride-to-be likes doing crazy things, choose objectives that are suitable for HER, you do not want her to bored. Just warn conservative group members in advance, if need be and let them know they do not have to partake in anything too extreme. Be prepared to read through lots of ideas before choosing ones correct for your group!

Consider creating your own objectives based on personal conversations with the Bride-to-be.

When deciding upon the length of the list, it is better to err on the side of too many tasks than not enough. Consider giving a task for every 1-2 minutes of time allotted. Choosing the Scavenger Hunt should be really fun!

Make sure to print out 1-2 Scavenger Hunt Lists for each team.

Tips & Warnings

  • Instead of planning the Bachelorette Party Scavenger Hunt by yourself, invite a couple good friends to do it with you. This will make the planning even MORE fun and give more of the Bachelorette Party ownership of an amazing party!

  • Even though it is her "last night" out as a single woman, do NOT let the Bride-to-Be do anything she will regret.

  • Be sure to bring some Mace Pepper Spray and a Cell Phone - there is safety in numbers - Be Safe!
