Call? Or fold? Are you bluffing, or do you have a Royal Flush? Follow these steps and no one will ever be able to read your poker face, allowing you to rake in all of the chips before all the rest of the poker plays know what hit them.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

To keep your poker hand a secret, focus on your breathing pattern. Work hard to keep your breathing regular and steady; this will help keep your heartbeat normal so that your heart doesn't pound right out of your chest as you start down at the Full House; Aces over Kings you are holding.

  2. Step 2

Avoid looking the other poker players dead in the eye; or, stare at them straight on. Either way, pick one method or the other, consciously, so that you aren't doing one or the other on accident (giving away your poker hand).

  3. Step 3

Always place your poker chips down in the same fashion. This is very important- a lot of poker players will "splash" the pot by throwing chips loosely out in front of them. This is often read as "I'm not planning on taking these chips back" or in other words "I am going to call you but I don't think that my hand has you beat". Watching the way that your fellow poker players put in their chips can help you with poker reads-but also be aware of how you are moving yours around.

  4. Step 4

In order to uphold a poker face, try hard to keep your attitude consistent through out the game. If you are going to talk the whole way through and try to rattle the other poker players, that's fine...just do it consistently so that they aren't able to guess your poker hand when you suddenly grow quiet.
