Things You'll Need:
- For rice powder:
- Stove
- Saucepan made of stainless steel or glass
- Rice flour
- Wooden spoon
- Container with lid
- For lip balm with color:
- Stove or microwave
- Glass saucepan
- Stainless steel spoon
- 1/2 oz beeswax
- Vitamin E capsule
- Ripe beet
- Juicer
- Shot glass
- Small container with lid
-
Step 1
Put the pan on top of the stove and pour some rice flour in it. Don't add a large amount the first few times you make it.
-
Step 2
Turn on the stove to very low heat so you can start browning the flour. It's important to use just a little heat so you can control the color change in the flour. The goal is to slowly change the color to achieve a shade that matches your skin.
-
Step 3
Stir the flour with the wooden spoon to achieve a consistent color throughout
-
Step 4
Turn off the heat and put the flour aside to cool once you achieve the desired shade.
-
Step 5
Pour it into the container with the lid when it cools
-
Step 1
Place the beeswax in the glass saucepan and put it either on top of the stove or inside the microwave.
-
Step 2
Wash the beet, peel it and pass it through the juicer so you have pure beet juice.
-
Step 3
Pour the beet juice in the shot glass.
-
Step 4
Melt the beeswax in the stove or microwave using low heat. If you use the stove, stir constantly until the wax is melted. If you prefer to use the microwave, heat for 30-second intervals and stir before placing it back in the microwave.
-
Step 5
Once the beeswax is completely melted, add the beet juice to the desired intensity.
-
Step 6
Pour the mix into the container and allow it to cool.
