How to Dress Like a Geek

Often characterized by disregard for high fashion and trends, as well as a love of gadgets and technology, geeks have been branded as unhip for years. However, this view appears to be changing, as a new fashion trend called "geek chic" is emerging, with more and more fashion enthusiasts starting to embrace this look. There are several ways to channel your inner geek, including committing established fashion faux-pas and giving your look a technological edge.

Instructions

1. Replace your current glass frames with thick rectangular horn-rimmed ones. If you do not wear glasses, you can wear frames that do not have prescription lenses.

2. Wear T-shirts with quirky images and/or text, for example the pi symbol, a graphic equalizer or a reference to science fiction or fantasy films and books.

3. Wear tube socks with sandals under shorts or a skirt.

4. Select accessories that not only enhance your style but also serve a purpose, for example thermometer-shaped earrings that provide the temperature.

5. Pack your pockets full of gadgets, making sure that they are visible to others. Wear earphones or a digital headset constantly.
