Instructions

    • 1

Purchase two magnetic wreath hangers (see resources). These simple gadgets are designed to hold wreaths that weigh up to 10 lbs.

    • 2

Determine the position desired for the wreath. If necessary, clean the window with window-cleaning spray and a clean cloth to remove any smudges and fingerprints before hanging the wreath. When you draw attention to a beautiful wreath on a window, it is recommended that the window be clean.

    • 3

Place one magnetic wreath hanger on one side of the window and the other magnetic wreath hanger on the opposite side of the window to create the magnetic bond that will adhere the magnetic wreath hanger to the window. If necessary, use a stepladder to reach the desired place on the window. Make sure that the wreath hanger is centered as much as possible on the window. If window panes make it impossible to center the hook, it will be necessary to compensate for the off-center hook with the placement of the wreath on the hook.

    • 4

Hang the loop of the wreath over the hook. If the hook is in the center of the window, simply hang the wreath over the hook. If the hook is off-center on the window, it may be necessary to relocate the loop on the wreath slightly to the left or the right to enable the wreath to hang in the center of the window. If the loop on the wreath does not move easily, you could also make a new loop with the 20-gauge wire. Shape the wire into a circle, loop the wire through a secured part on the backside of the wreath, and twist the wire around itself to close up the wire circle. This will create a new hanging loop.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use care when climbing the stepladder. Place the ladder on a level, firm surface. Ask a helper to steady the ladder if necessary.
