Instructions

    • 1

Hang from curtain rods or hooks on your wall. Use a tension spring curtain rod over a small kitchen window and simply "string" wine openers on the rod by sliding the bottle opener end of your wine opener or attach a black cable to wine openers to hang. Use picture hooks or "C" hooks on a wall and hang wine openers from the hooks to display.

    • 2

Lay wine openers carefully in a wide, short, clear glass bowl to create a unique display and functional storage area for your wine openers. Keep the cork screw ends down in the bowl to prevent cuts to hands.

    • 3

Mix your wine opener styles. Gather together wine openers made from metal, wood, glass and silver as well as new and antique wine openers to add interest to a bowl on your wine cooler or a basket on your refrigerator.

    • 4

Color code your collection. Place like-colored wine openers together in vases with wide mouths to decorate a windowsill or bar top. Wine openers can come in multiple colors and finishes, so look for a range of styles when shopping for wine openers.

    • 5

Hot glue inexpensive and colorful wine openers to a frameless mirror and hang over the bar or near your wine cooler. Apply a thick bead of hot glue to the back "body" of the wine opener and press along the edge of the mirror to create a frame. Continue around the mirror mixing colors and shapes.

    • 6

Attach heavy-duty magnets to your wine openers and display in a neat line on your fridge door or other metallic surface. If you don't want to hang them on your refrigerator, simply get a piece of metal from your hardware store and screw into a wall to hang your magnetic display. Hot glue magnets onto a flat, high surface on your wine opener to complete your project.

    • 7

Line larger wine openers along the top edge of a lighted kitchen cabinet to give off an interesting glow and shadow forms at night. Be sure they are secure and won't fall when cabinets below are closed.

    • 8

Place on a bookshelf. If you have an especially interesting antique wine opener collection, line your best pieces up on a narrow bookshelf or along a mantel to provide areas of interest throughout a room. If you have children in your home, you may want to put a piece of cork on sharp corkscrew tips before diplaying.

Tips & Warnings

  • Hang larger collections of wine openers against a deep red or terra-cotta backdrop to create a "Tuscany" feel.

  • Wine openers are sharp. Don't leave them with unattended children.
