How to Decorate with Wine Openers

Things You'll Need
- Collection of wine openers
- Tension curtain rod
- "C" hooks
- Clear glass bowl
- Clear glass vase with wide mouth
- Hot glue
- Frameless mirror
- Heavy duty magnets
- Square piece of metal
- Corks

Hang from curtain rods or hooks on your wall. Use a tension spring curtain rod over a small kitchen window and simply "string" wine openers on the rod by sliding the bottle opener end of your wine opener or attach a black cable to wine openers to hang. Use picture hooks or "C" hooks on a wall and hang wine openers from the hooks to display.

Attach heavy-duty magnets to your wine openers and display in a neat line on your fridge door or other metallic surface. If you don't want to hang them on your refrigerator, simply get a piece of metal from your hardware store and screw into a wall to hang your magnetic display. Hot glue magnets onto a flat, high surface on your wine opener to complete your project.

Line larger wine openers along the top edge of a lighted kitchen cabinet to give off an interesting glow and shadow forms at night. Be sure they are secure and won't fall when cabinets below are closed.

Place on a bookshelf. If you have an especially interesting antique wine opener collection, line your best pieces up on a narrow bookshelf or along a mantel to provide areas of interest throughout a room. If you have children in your home, you may want to put a piece of cork on sharp corkscrew tips before diplaying.

Hang larger collections of wine openers against a deep red or terra-cotta backdrop to create a "Tuscany" feel.
