How to Pack a Storage Unit
As we learn to live in smaller spaces, that often means prioritizing what items that we keep with us in our space. Out of necessity, storage units have become a valuable commodity, so it is best to learn to maximize the potential of a storage space by packing it appropriately. Does this Spark an idea?

Beginning at the back of the unit, place any flat-surfaced items, such as dressers, armoires and tables, lining them up against the back wall. Cover with protective blankets, and stack additional furniture on top if necessary.

Moving toward the front of the unit, stack boxes on top of each other, taking care to not stack them so high that they become unstable.

Reserve items that you may need access to, such as files or books, to place at the front of the unit.

Continue stacking your boxes, until you have placed all of them, excepting the items that you need access to.

After your boxes are all in the unit, place odd-sized furniture or items in front of the boxes, placing your reserved boxes and items at the front for easy access.
