How to Thicken Facial Hair

Men who want thicker facial hair are fighting genetics and science. Some men are convinced certain products can thicken facial hair. There is no scientific evidence supporting any type of product that physically thickens facial hair. The thickness of facial hair is determined by genetics. That said, there are a few grooming tricks that might help facial hair look thicker-- and looks are everything.

Things You'll Need

• Beard dye kit
• Boar hair brush

Instructions

1. Wash face and facial hair with warm soap and water. Towel dry.

2. Choose the right color mustache and beard dye. Purchase a color that is darker than your natural color. The darker the color, the thicker it will appear.

3. Apply the mustache and beard dye, and allow to set. Rinse beard after dye has set.

4. Use a boar hair brush to brush your beard. The boar hair brush is designed to pull hair into silky clumps, giving the appearance of more volume.

• Never apply minoxidil to your face because it may cause terrible burning and skin irritation.
