Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Black ink pen
  • Kneaded eraser
  1. Step 1

Draw the outline of the boot with a two slightly diagonal vertical lines in the center of the page. Attach an upside down "V" shape to the top of these lines. Create the bottom of the boot with a triangular shape on the bottom left side for the front of the boot and a square shape on the bottom right side for the heel of the boot.

  2. Step 2

Add a diagonal rectangular shape where the vertical line of the left side of the boot meets the front bottom of the boot. Add a vertical rectangular shape to the top middle of the boot. Add the sole of the boot with two parallel horizontal lines under the bottom of the boot.

  3. Step 3

Draw a small circle attached to the diagonal rectangle. Add a long thing horizontal to the right side of this circle to create the metal shaft of the spurs. Add a circle to the end of this shaft to create the spurs of the boot. Draw vertical line running down the middle of the boot to show the seam of the cowboy boot.

  4. Step 4

Draw 12 small rectangle inside the spur circle to create each individual spur. Draw a smaller circle inside the middle circle. Add a series of "w" shaped lines at the top right and left sides of the boot to create designs in the leather.

  5. Step 5

Erase any overlapping guidelines. Ink the entire illustration and let the ink dry for 5 minutes before carefully erasing your pencil lines.

Tips & Warnings
  • Color the illustration of the cowboy boot with art markers.
  • Be sure to let the ink completely dry before erasing the pencil lines or the picture will smudge.
