If you haven't noticed, the cost of organic food is more expensive than the regular can next to it. This detours potential buyers away from eating organically. Here are some simple ways to slowly, and cost-effectively, change the way you eat.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start out by buying the basics. Organic flour, sugar, and noodles, are a great way to start out. This will also be wallet-friendly. Organic foods are wholesome, and starting with the base of most meals, you will get the best deal.

  2. Step 2

Next slowly add other products that you usually use, just switch them to the organic part. Buy organic peanut butter, jelly, vegetable oil, and other foods that you use sparingly.

  3. Step 3

Coupons are a frugal person's best friend. Finding coupons for organic products can be very difficult, but it is possible. Start out by visiting some of the companies websites to see if there are any printable coupons. Dillon's food markets, and Whole Foods sometimes offer organic coupon booklets which can help.

  4. Step 4

If you not a vegetarian, the next thing to switch will be your meat. The next best thing to Organic foods is the "Natural" foods. Most meat lockers offer "natural" or "grass fed" beef with no harmful chemicals. By buying half a cow or pig from the meat locker, you often save money, so look into it!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are not thinking about switching to organic, atleast research it a little bit to see what kind of information you might be missing out on.
