Play Music on Live Spaces with SkyDrive
Play Music on Live Spaces with SkyDrive
Windows Live

Want to add a favorite audio clip to your Live Space? You will need to find a website to hose your music file first, which means opening another account, and putting your personal information on one more source of risk. Now with SkyDrive on Windows Live, you will be able to host your songs (photos, documents and even video files) with your existing Windows Live/MSN/Hotmail account username and password. Plus the Windows Media Player module on Live Spaces, your song can be easily put on the Space without logging in another website.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Upload your file to SkyDrive. After logged in Windows Live, click “More” -> “SkyDrive”. Go through all the introduction and agreement, and reach the main panel.

Create a folder under “Shared Folder” category (Other categories are OK too, just make sure you make it “public”). Enter the folder you just created, and click “Add files” (on the left top corner) to add your music file.

Right Click the file icon and select “Copy Shortcut”. Your computer saves a link now. (See Photo 1)

Tips & Warnings
  • If the link copied from "Copy Shortcut" is not ended in " ?download ", that means you didn't copy the link from the file description page. Check back Step 2 for solution.
