Step 1
Decide who to invite. Invite your friends and/or family.

Send out festive red, white, and blue invitations. Give a date to RSVP by.

Call anyone who hasn't RSVP'ed by the date on your invitation.

Make sure all decorations reflect the celebration. Get red, white, and blue napkins, forks, paper plates, tablecloths etc. Buy red, white and blue balloons and banners.

Deck out your whole yard with American flags.

You can also color code your food. Get cupcakes with red, white and blue sprinkles on them. Get a GIGANTIC cake and have the red, white, and blue frosting form an American flag!!!

Fire up the grill and serve All-American dishes as hotdogs, hamburgers, and corn on the cob. You can also serve potato chips and various dips. For the health and weight conscious, serve watermelon, and various salads.

Quench your party's thirst with some good, old soda. Make sure to have a BIG ice-filled cooler filled with beer for the adults. Also have a big pitcher of cool, refreshing lemonade on hand for the younger geusts.

For dessert??? ICE CREAM of course!!!!!

Make a list of things to do before and after the barbecue. Here are some ideas:
Bean Bag Toss
Potato Sack Race
Baseball Game
Football Game
Swimming(if you have a swimming pool) -

After the barbecue comes the fun part : THE FIREWORKS!!!!!
Light the fireworks safely and make sure all children are a safe distance away from the fireworks. Sit back and enjoy the show!!! -

In some places, it may be illegal to have fireworks. In that case, find a place in your town where there will be a legal firework display or go to your town's $ of July parade.
