Finding daycare for the summer is not the easiest thing you will do. If your children are usually in an after school program at their school, you may now be scrambling to find someone, or someplace to cover for you while you must be at work.

1
Check with neighbors for daycare: It is possible that someone in your area will gladly watch your children for a fee if they are going to be home with their kids for the summer.
-
2
Call the Boys and Girls Club: In some areas the local Boys and Girls Club will have daycare programs to keep your children busy and safe.

3
Go to the YMCA: Check with the local YMCA. Often a program with planned activities is available for all ages. Sometimes the fees are discounted if you are not earning enough to make ends meet-A big help in this economy.
-
4
Visit local churches: Your local churches may be offering planned programs this summer. Seen as a ministry outreach program, the prices are sometimes lower than other places.
-
5
Talk to relatives: If you choose to ask family members to help you, insist on paying. Even if they will only accept considerably less than you would pay elsewhere, we want to attempt keep things fair.
-
6
Go to local Daycare Centers: Some commercial daycare providers offer summer programs for older kids. This often includes field trips, and special activities.
