Step 1
A lot of heat can take moisture out of your hair such as hot showers, excessive use of the blow dryer or straightener, hot rollers or curling iron. As much as possible wash your hair in warm or cold water and air dry your hair or use a fan. Use the hair straightener and curling iron moderately.
-
Step 2
Wash your hair every other day or every two days, instead of everyday. Your hair will be much healthier
-
Step 3
Your hair can dry out if you continually expose it to the sun or if you use the pool everyday. The chlorine can result in dry hair. It is wise to protect your head, with a hat and use the pool less.
-
Step 4
Assess how often you use hair gels, hair spray, moouse, hair colors or any hair styling product. If you use it everyday, chances are that your hair will be dry out and be damaged by these products. It is better to use them moderately or replace it with applying a small amount of olive oil after you shampoo and condition your hair.
-
Step 5
Deep conditon your hair. - you can do it professionally or do a google search of how to deep condition your hair.
-
Step 6
Use Hot Oil Hair Treatments from VO5 or Tresemme every two weeks to keep moisture in your hair. You can also use olive oil as a hot oil treatment.
-
Step 7
Use a leave in conditioner or moisturizing hair lotion after you shampoo and condition your hair. Pantene, Dove, Infusium, Garnier Fructis, Tresemme, and many other brands have leave in conditioners.
