Step 1
Start by cleaning your keyboard with a vacuum. Use the vacuum attachment that has bristles and gently go over all of your keys to suck up dirty and, let's face it, food crumbs.
-
Step 2
After vacuuming, use a duster to dust off your keys. You shouldn't pick up too much dust if you constantly use your keyboard.
-
Step 3
Use the vacuum again to pick up any materials that might have fallen off of your keys down in the crevices. If you are brave enough, take a screw driver and pry off all of the keys. If you do this, start at one of the corners and work your way in. If you decide not to remove your keys, skip to step 5.
-
Step 4
With all of the keys removed, use the vacuum cleaner again to pick up all of the bigger pieces of dirt and crumbs. Then, use a damp cloth and wipe down your keyboard.
-
Step 5
If you don't want to remove your keys, you can use cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol to clean in-between your keys. This is a very effective method if you don't want to remove all of your keys and put them back on.
