Write a Fabulous Article for eHow

If you are looking to get published, have something to say, or just like telling people how to do things, then writing articles for eHow is the thing for you. Follow these guidelines for creating fabulous articles on eHow that are sure to catch the reader's eye.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Word processing
  • Ideas and imagination
  • Decent writing skills
  • Time
  • Photos
  1. Step 1

Find something interesting to write about. Either write about something you are passionate about, or write passionately about something other people want to read about.

  2. Step 2
    Google Trends
    Google Trends

To find out what other people want to read about, check out the list of requested articles that eHow provides. People are always wanting to know how to do something, and here at eHow, they tell you about it. You can also keep abreast of Google trends. This will tell you exactly what people all over the world are reading about...it gives you the hottest and latest topics. Just google the term "Google trends" and it will come up first in the search results.

  3. Step 3
    Well-used Books

Do your research. Make sure you are providing accurate and up to date information. Don't assume that because it is on the internet or Wikipedia that it is correct. Use multiple sources and think critically when you write.

  4. Step 4
Front and back of a Canon PowerShot A95. Public Domain Photo.

Use photos to illustrate your steps. You can find lots of public domain photos and creative commons photos you can use for free or just by giving credit where credit is due. Take your own photos. If you are an artist like I am, then create an image when you can't find the right one. Several of the images I have used in this article, for example, are images I created (except for the Google Trends, of course).

Tips & Warnings
  • Make your article useful. If you were the reader, would you know how to do what you are writing about after you read your article?
  • Don't plagiarize! Don't copy other people's work or artwork. Give credit where credit is due.
