How to Decorate a Valentine Box for School
Valentine's Day is exciting for elementary school children. They enjoy exchanging cards and celebrating at small school parties. A main project for Valentine's is the decorated box for the card exchange. There are many ways to decorate a Valentine's Day box.
Things You'll Need
- Wrapping paper
- Stickers
- Cards
- Paint
- Glitter
- Colored construction paper
- Glue or rubber cement
- Decorative scissors

Cover the prepared box with gift wrap or craft paper.

Cut paper hearts out of red, pink and white construction paper.

Glue paper hearts on to small paper doilies or directly onto the box with rubber cement or white glue.

Glue hearts to form the eyes, nose and mouth of a favorite animal for a unique box.

Draw glue outlines around the heart shapes. Sprinkle glitter on to the glue for a sparkling effect on the Valentine's Day box.

Paint, write or glitter/glue the name of the child onto the box.
Building, Train or Vehicle

Cover the box with gift wrap or brown craft paper.

Cut out squares for windows and rectangles for doors. If you are making a car or train, cut out round- or heart-shaped tires or wheels.

Glue windows, doors and wheels to simulate the look of a car or building onto the box.
