The home page is the site that your browser will take you to when you first open it. Your home page (such as MSN) should be a site that you frequent often; email services, work and management services, or a news network are very common home pages. Every browser--Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome--has its own way to do things, but changing the home page in the browser is a simple task.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

    Internet Explorer

  1. Step 1

    Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Step 2

Select "Tools" on the toolbar. A drop-down menu appears.

  3. Step 3

Choose "Internet Options." The "Internet Options" window will open.

  4. Step 4

Select the "General" tab. There is an address (probably "http://msn.com/") under the "Home Page" section. Change the address to whatever address you want your home page to be. Or click on the "Use Current" button to make your home page the site you are currently visiting.

  5. Firefox

  6. Step 1

    Open Firefox.

  7. Step 2

Select "Tools" on the toolbar. A drop-down menu appears.

  8. Step 3

Choose "Options." The "Options" window will open.

  9. Step 4

Select the "Main" tab. There is an address (probably http://www.msn.com/") under the "Startup" section. Change the address to whatever address you want your home page to be. Or click on the "Use Current Page" button to make your home page the site you are currently visiting.

Tips & Warnings
  • Most browsers follow the above steps to change the home page. There will be small variations as above, but they are all very similar.
