Step 1
Open the Azureus program. The Azureus icon is a blue, thumbnail image of a white frog. Its subtitle will read, "Vuze". This icon should be located on your computer's desktop screen. Double-click on the icon and allow the program to load completely before conducting any commands.

Access the Azureus Configuration Panel. Click on the "Tools" tab, located in the navigation menu at the top of the screen, and select "Options" in the drop box list. When the "Options" portal opens, click on the "Transfer" option located on the side panel of the screen.

Adjust your upload and download speed settings. When the "Transfer" window opens, click on the rectangular data forms to adjust the settings. The maximum upload speed should be configured to 15. The maximum upload slots should be no larger than 5. The maximum number of connections per torrent should be no larger than 120 and no smaller than 80. All other slots should be set to zero.

Choose where you'd like to have your files stored. Double-click on the "Files" tab in the left pane of the screen. When the "Files" screen loads, click on the second folder file icon on the right side of the lower drop box bar. Choose the location where you'd like to store your torrent files once the downloading process is complete. Click "OK' to close the window.

Change the "Queue" settings. You will see three options below the "Queue" configurations when the screen loads. Only check the first option that reads, "Move Newly Completed Torrents to the Front of the Seeding List". Remove the check from the second option. Click "Save" to confirm and apply all changes.
