How to End a Friendship on Facebook

There are many reasons you may want to end a friendship on Facebook, whether your real-life friendship has ended, you added the person in error to begin with or because she is causing you problems on your account. This is no reason to worry, however, as doing so is a fairly easy process.

Instructions

1. From your Facebook page, click on your "Friends" link.

2. Click on "All Friends" to see a list of all your friends.

3. Go to the profile of the person in question by clicking on his name link.

4. Scroll to the bottom of the page. There is a link on the left hand side that says "Remove from Friends." It should appear between the "Suggest Friends" and "Share" links.

5. Click on the "Remove from Friends" link.

6. This person will be removed from your friends list. She will not be notified that you removed her, but by removing her, you will automatically be removed from her friends list as well.

Tips & Warnings

• If you decide in the future that you want to be Facebook friends with this person again, you will need to send out a new friend request, which he will have to confirm.
