How to Make a Power Smoothie

Power Smoothies are great for drinking after a workout. It has both protein and carbs to help your body refuel as you are building muscle. Smoothies are easy to make at home and taste great. These power smoothies can be made ahead of time and placed in the freezer. Then take it to the gym with you, it should be thawed by the time you are done working out. Or store in the refrigerator and keep in a cooler while you are at the gym.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • Low-fat yogurt
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Whey isolate protein powder Vanilla
  • Ground flax seed
  • Vanilla
  • Banana
  1. Step 1

    Place in blender: 1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 30 grams) which has 10 grams of protein, and 1 tablespoon ground flax seed. Blend.

  2. Step 2

    Then add 1 whole banana and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Blend.

  3. Step 3

    Now add 4-5 frozen strawberries and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries or to taste. Blend

  4. Step 4

    Pour into glass and enjoy with a straw. If you would like a thinner smoothie, add either a few ice cubes or a small amount of soy milk.
