One unfortunate disadvantage of using Iweb is that the program automatically publishes its images in PNG format. While PNG format pictures are of a better quality they unfortunately are much larger files. Likely if you have Iweb on your Mac computer than you will have the other two programs from Ilife as well, which includes Keynote (Macs Powerpoint program) and Iphoto (a picture formatting program). Many of Apple's programs are highly interactive and work very well together. This tutorial will give you insight into using these products together to achieve your desired end result.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First open Iweb and Keynote at the same time. Highlight and copy your image in Iweb and paste it in Keynote. If you have multiple pictures that you would like to consolidate into one picture (such as all of your buttons on your navigation bar) simply highlight all of them and click on the group button along the top silver bar in Keynote.

  2. Step 2

Once you have grouped all the objects click on the share tab in Keynote and then go to send to Iphoto. You will be given the option of exporting it to Iphoto in various formats. I suggest exporting the images in PNG format so that you don’t loose any quality at this point of the transfer (we will change it to JPEG a little later in the process). After clicking on the share button, next click "the send to" feature of Keynote and the images will be automatically sent to and opened in Iphoto.

  3. Step 3

In Iphoto you can make any modifications that you wish to your objects. In Iphoto you can enhance the colors, change the size, as well as crop your images, along with many other edit options.

  4. Step 4

Once you have made your desired edits now it is time to export the image. Click on file then the export button. Under the file export tab click on the kind drop down menu and select JPEG. It will give you the option of choosing between three different quality JPEG's. I suggest trying all of them until you find one that looks good to you. Be aware to always look at the size of the image after you export to make sure that it is not too large for the purpose you wish to serve.
