Things You'll Need:
- small can of tomato sauce
- salt
- cumin powder / comino
- cilantro
- garlic
- 1-2 lbs. beef chuck roast or stew
-
Step 1
CROCK POT
Place your crock pot on the counter. Put your crock pot on high while preparing the meat. -
Step 2
BEEF
Take your beef chuck or you can also purchase already diced stew from your local grocery store and place in crock pot. You can place meat in the pot whole or dice the meat before placing in the crock pot. I have done both in the past depending on how much time I have on my hands. -
Step 3
TOMATO SAUCE
Open up a can of tomato suace and poor into crock pot. You can also select a can of mexican style diced tomatoes in addition to the tomato sauce. -
Step 4
CUMIN/GARLIC/SALT/CILANTRO
Sprinkle your beef with cumin, minced garlic, salt, and cilantro. Just one or two sprinkles of each will do. -
Step 5
COVER AND COOK
Put lid on crock pot and allow meat to cook to desired texture. I usually cook for longer than 4 hours. This is a quick no fuss meal that can be placed in the crock pot in the morning or during lunch. Your Mexican dinner will be ready before you know it.
