Do you LOVE Alfredo sauce but hate the fat? This low fat Alfredo sauce is easy to make and tastes so good even kids love it. You won't miss the fat!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups fat free milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Step 1

    This easy to make Low Fat Alfredo Sauce is the best! You can't even tell it's low fat either! It's simply delicious!

  2. Step 2

    In a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat melt the butter. When the butter is melted add the minced garlic cloves and cook for a minute.

    In a bowl combine the 1 1/2 cups of fat free milk with 2 tablespoons of flour. Make sure the flour is mixed into the milk well.

    Add the milk/flour mixture to the sauce pan with the butter and garlic. Cook over medium high heat until it just starts to boil. Stirring or whisking constantly until the mixture thickens. This should take about 5 minutes.

    Add 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan to the sauce pan and stir it into the milk.

    Lower the heat to low and cook for about 5 minutes.

    Serve the Low Fat Alfredo Sauce over pasta or steamed vegetables.

  3. Step 3

    Optional Low Fat Alfredo Sauce Add Ins:

    * Add 1/4 pound of tiny cooked shrimp
    * 1 can drained crab meat
