Things You'll Need:
- Graphic saved on your computer
- Internet connection
-
Step 1
There are several web sites that allow you to upload your own graphic, picture, or logo and have it printed on a skateboard! This is an awesome way to personalize your own deck, create decks with your own design to sell, or create decks with your skate team logo on them. There are many reasons you might want to do this, and the good thing is, it is actually pretty easy to get done. Let's look at a popular site used for this purpose, www.boardpusher.com.
-
Step 2
Boardpusher.com produces custom skateboards using graphics submitted by their users. If you are the creator of the design or graphic, you can get it printed on a skateboard deck. The first step is to sign up for a Boardpusher account on the website. Once your account is established, you are ready to get started.
-
Step 3
Boardpusher.com Lets You Select The Style and Size Of Board You WantAfter your account is created, login and you will see a link that says "Skate Your Own Design". In the first step, you will be allowed to select the size of deck you want. You can pick from a standard skateboard shape in sizes from 7 1/4 to 8 1/4. You can also choose longboard and "Old School" shapes. Select a shape and size and move onto the next step.
-
Step 4
Upload Your Graphic To Be Printed On Your Skateboard DeckThe next step is to upload your own image. This is the fun part! Any image or text you want to see on your skateboard can be uploaded from your computer and printed on a deck for you. You simply click on "Add Image", then browse your computer files for a saved image, and click "Upload". Boardpusher can use any image you have saved as long as it is in a JPEG, JPG, or PNG file format. Files should be 150 DPI at a minimum and at least 1350 x 4950 pixels. You can enlarge your image once you upload it to Boardpusher, but it's not recommended, as this can degrade the printed image. It is best to start with a large file size and shrink it on the website if necessary. Once your graphic is uploaded, re-sized, rotated or whatever required editing is done, click on "Finish Deck".
-
Step 5
You will be shown a preview of your finished deck, and you will see the final cost. A standard deck with your custom graphic will currently cost just under $50.00. You can pay more and get it with grip tape or even get it made as a complete. It's an easy process with professional looking results!
